Quinoa with paprika and cumin

 Quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah) is a grain native to South America and makes a great side dish for lean meats and seafood .
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients :

  1. 1 C quinoa
  2. ¼ tsp salt
  3. ½ tsp paprika (or try smoked paprika
  4. for a unique flavor)
  5. ½ tsp ground cumin

Quinoa with paprika and cumin

Instructions :

  1. Rinse quinoa in a fine mesh colander.
  2. Place all ingredients in a saucepan with 2 cups of water. Cover.
  3. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  4. Reduce heat. Simmer for 10–15 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
  5. Serve immediately, or refrigerate to reheat later.
