Chicken and rice balls prepared in just 20 minutes
Easy to make and loved by everyone, the perfect meal for a quick dinner! This comfort food is ready in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
For the meatballs:
- 1 pound (454 g) ground chicken
- 1 cup of cooked and cooled white rice (210 g)
- 1 egg
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- ½ (60 g) cup flour
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the sauce:
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) of butter
- 2 tablespoons (24 g) of flour
- 2 cups (500 mL) chicken broth
- ¼ cup (65 mL) sour cream
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation:
- In a large bowl, combine all the meatball ingredients; chicken, cooked rice, egg, grated onion, a clove of garlic, salt and pepper, except for the flour and oil.
- Form meatballs and roll them in flour.
- In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of oil.
- Cook the meatballs for about 7 minutes. Reserve.
- In the same pan, melt the butter and add the flour while whisking.
- Stir in the chicken broth, sour cream, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Bring the sauce to a boil then return the meatballs to the pan.
