Sweetened condensed milk cake (4 ingredient)

Sweetened condensed milk cake (4 ingredient)

I recently grabbed my tin from the pantry to make this simple yet delicious four ingredient sweetened condensed milk cake. This is going to go into my repertoire – so fast and simple to make, and you’d be lucky to have any crumbs left over after serving it to friends.

Next time I might add some lemon zest, or maybe even a swirl of strawberry jam to the batter. I think a pinch of cinnamon would be lovely too. Luckily I always have a spare tin in the pantry 😉

I served mine with just a dust of icing sugar but cream aficionados would probably appreciate a dollop on the side.

Ingredients :

  1. 1 tin sweetened condensed milk (395 grams)
  2. 4 eggs
  3. 50 grams butter, melted
  4. 1 cup self-raising flour

Instructions :

  1. Spray inside of 20cm round cake pan with non-stick cooking spray and line base with baking paper. Pre-heat oven to 175C.
  2. Place all ingredients into bowl of electric mixer and beat until just combined and smooth.
  3. Scrape into pan and bake for 35 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool in pan before removing to wire rack.
  5. Serve dusted with icing sugar.
